Marikina and Balubad Church of Christ Update: 

The brethren in Marikina worship together in one roof after the devastating flood. Brethren from Balubad came and worship the Lord even full of mud on their feet and clothes. Some of them wear slippers and clothes come from relief. Brother Danni emotionally preach that God still in control despite of tragedy and trials that all of us encountered. He tells his experience of sinking on muddy water and rising for new life. All of us cried together and sing praises to God, God touched the heart of three souls who studied the Bible regularly before the flood and immediately they asked bro. Danni to be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins. God is GREAT!

Helping the Needy…

The Metro Manila Ministries, MARCH mission, Churches of Christ in Metro Manila (Manila, Paranaque, Olongapo thru Project 6 Churches of Christ) send relief goods to be distributed to all our brethren and families affected by the flood in Marikina.

Medical Missions…

The M.A.R.C.H. mission conducted medical mission at Balubad area and we treated 450 patients from infants to adults. Majority of the patients are victims of devastating flood last September 26.

Good Samaritan Program…

Cleaning and reconstructing temporary shelter for the brethren at Balubad area is number one priority of the mission team in order to build up their physical and spiritual lives.

Family Day 2009…

The Cubao and Marikina Churches held their annual family day last October 30 in order to uplift the souls of everyone after the trials and sufferings they have encountered for the past days. They have group Bible studies and games for everyone during the event.

Baptisms…

God is great! He added 22 more souls in His Church at Marikina (Friendship Road & Twinville Church). God touched their heart upon hearing His words about the forgiveness of sins and salvation of soul thru Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wichita, Kansas Update:

Our 10-week Friday night Bible study and fellowship ended of November 22, 2009 with Dr. Derin Dopps and Mr. Paul Burnham (father of Martin Burnham, a missionary that was killed in 2002 by the Abu Sayaf in the Philippines). It was very powerful testimonies on both of these men on how we can face trials in times when we lost loved ones in whatever circumstances it might be.

With this ministry, another soul was saved. Josephine Limpiado, a teacher at Heights High School in Wichita, decided to put on Christ on December 6th. The angels of the Lord are rejoicing as another soul obeyed His gospel.

We are continuing to do more one-on-one Bible studies to those who are interested in studying and will continue to have the Friday nights fellowship next year. The Lord is in control of everything and He will give an increase to the ministry as long as we do our part. God is glorified.

Christmas Party…

There were around 35 people who attended on December 5th at Derin and Amanda Dopps’ home. It was an enjoyable day with food, fellowship, games and singing Christmas carols. As we culminate the year, let us remember that Christ is the reason for all the season. Let us worship HIm everyday of our lives in whatever season it is.
